Panama Canal part two

This is my first "travel video." I shot it on VHS so don't be too hard on me for the quality. The content still holds up really well. To this day, it is the only cruising guide that exists for yachters to make the trip from LA through the Canal. AND we navigated with a very primitive version of what turned into the global positioning system. We had to wait for satellites to appear over the horizon.There were only 16 in 1985. We always knew where we were by dead-reckoning on our charts and by making local apparent noon sightings with the sextant on days when we could see the sun...
