Do you need a 5G phone in 2021?

The new year is almost upon us and you want a slice of sweet 5G pie. (Or maybe you don't. I probably don't know you, so I don't want to assume, but you are probably at least a little interested in 5G or you wouldn't be here, right?)

But is 5G everything the US cellular carriers (Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile) want you to believe it is or will your old 4G phone get you through the new year just fine.
