Taking myself out on a date for Valentine's Day!
This year, I wanted to change things up a little and actually do something for Valentine's day! I always just consume other cute couples posts on Instagram wishing I had a day full of roses, chocolate and dinner dates. Then it came to me... I don't actually need a partner to enjoy all of those things, and besides that, I think learning how to enjoy your own company is a very important skill on its own. So in this video, I planned a fun valentine's day alone! I got into the spirit by incorporating as much red and hearts as I could into my outfits. The first thing I did was just sit, relax and tan by the pool. There's something comforting about laying in the sun and forgetting about all of your responsibilities for a few moments HAHA then I went to Max Brenner Chocolate Bar for some Strawberries dipped in vegan melted chocolate. It tasted like Kinder Surprise 😍 I stopped by the florist and bought a rose to add a pop of colour to the apartment and then headed home to get ready! I had a shower and then headed to my early dinner reservation at 4:30pm. (My uber driver was THE KINDEST) I went to a Japanese place called Mamasan Kitchen on Broadbeach. Everything was delicious! After some plans with a friend, I did some journaling before bed, I think this is the best way to connect with yourself and clear your mind.
I hope this video inspires you guys to do something fun on Valentine's day, whether that's spending the day at the beach or going to dinner with the girls 💖
