New Kawai ST-1 Institutional Piano For Our Church

We just got a new piano for our church, the previous one being 53 a year old Yamaha that had survived the brutal Interior Alaskan climate all that time remarkably well. It is a Kawai ST-1 which came straight from the factory. After being shipped to Alaska in sub-zero temperatures it needed quite a bit of setup and a pitch raise (after sitting for a week inside first). It has a PianoDisc reproducing system installed, which is handy since we don’t have anyone to play it at present. It still needs a bit of regulation and I need to tune it a few more times over the next week, but it is a really well built instrument, and sounds great in our small room. The only down side was moving it into the building in winter through deep snow and in sub-zero temps. But it went okay though with ramps and plywood to ease the path into the building.
