2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee CRD (OM642) Quick radiator fan test

Quick, easy and a good starting point to test if your radiator fan is functioning. Can be done at any temperature. Unplugging the engine coolant temp sensor opens the circuit, simulating a high engine temperature, which triggers the fan to kick in. These fans are hydraulically driven by the power steering pump.
