Blade Explained: All You Need To Know About Marvel's Vampire Hunter!

The Eternals post-credits scene connects Kit Harington's Black Knight and Mahershala Ali's Blade. So who is this blade character? In this video, we are going to over his origins and powers, and all you need to know. Since soon enough we are going to see him in the MCU anyway.

Eric was born with an immunity to a vampire’s bites thanks to his dual nature of both human and vampire, but he was already an orphan. His mother’s friends raised the young boy until he was old enough to learn how to fight under the tutelage of Jamal Afari. The elder vampire hunter taught him everything he knew about the undead, investigation, and close combat. Eventually, his prowess with weapons earned young Eric the nickname Blade.

After the transformation, Blade now possesses superhuman strength, stamina, speed, agility, heightened senses, and a rapid healing factor that attacks any alien substance in his body. The healing factor also eliminates any chance of him being rendered helpless or maimed from the inside. The Blade is unaffected by daylight which is most traditional vampires’ weaknesses. He also ages very slowly but is not immortal and can preternaturally sense supernatural activity.
