In a surprise announcement, Aputure released not one, but for new single source COB LED lights! The Amaran 200d, 200x, 100d, and 100x. These lights borrow many features from their Lightstrom series cousins, the 120dII and 300dII. But what are the differences between the Amaran series and the Lightstorm series? What makes the Amarans so affordable? And most importantly, are they powerful enough to compete? Let’s find out!
