As part of efforts to increase capacity of the Chuo Main Line, Green Cars are being introduced to the Chuo Line (Rapid) services beginning March 2025. At the time of writing, the Green Cars have been progressively attached to trains and are available for use for free as a form of 'trial period'. From March 15 onwards, the Green Car supplement will take effect.
