I used 4.5m2 (50ft2) of FatMat Rattle Trap (80 Mil) to fully sound deaden the back of the Sprinter. It cost me AU$180 and took me about 2 - 3 hours to completely install.

Firstly use Isopropyl alcohol and a new rag to clean the surfaces of the van. Then measure out 20 or more pieces at a time, and cut them in bulk to increase efficiency.

My van already came with some stock sound deadener installed. You don't need to cover the entire surface area, just a portion of it.
