How to drill a shallow well by hand. I used a fence post auger to drill this well. I'm still getting water from it. I used 3 inch pvc as the casing and 1 1/2 as the drop pipe. I also used a foot valve at the bottom of the drop pipe, then I bought a hand pump from tractor supply and this well produces water faster than I can use it.
