Is Canadian Telecom Giant, Bell Canada a buy with the covid vaccine on the horizon? Ticker = BCE

Freaky takes a deep dive look into the Canadian Telecom industry. Bell's stock has been fairly flat over the past 5 years... and still down from its pre-covid highs. Freaky explores the decline in profitability the company has faced during covid, as well as what it may mean for the company after covid.

Overall, the company should continue to bounce back in terms of its ABPU, with roaming likely to come back once covid is behind us. The media advertising revenue should also increase coming out of covid. With that in mind Bell has a landline phone business and flatlining TV cable business that is currently undermining its strength in the high speed internet wired market.

Bell has been investing in its Fiber in Home business to replace its existing copper infrastructure and should be able to utilize this investment to its upcoming 5G role out advantage.

Freaky believes there is hidden strength within the recent Bell Financials that the market may be sleeping on, and while it has come off its covid lows... there is likely room to the upside. Bell pays a 5.8% div yield at the time of writing and should be resilient in the face of the current covid second wave. Therefore one will likely, and slowly, expect upside as we bridge the time between "now and whenever normalcy is"... whilst collecting a 5.8% div yield.
