Fret slotting jig - DIY Luthier tools

Fret slotting jig - DIY Luthier tools
I had this idea of fret slotting jig and I asked some friends to help me build it. It is very simple. Holes in the aluminium mach the scale i found on stewmac calculator and were drilled on cnc machine. There are two holes for a slot, one on each side of where the fretboard is attached. I attach a fretboard blank with a tape, in parallel to the holes. I have a block of hard wood with a slot for the board on the bottom and slot for saw on the upper part. The saw slot is in parallel to the edge of the block. Than I put two screws in the holes and lean on the sawing block. I taped a straight piece of wood on the saw blade to serve as a depth stop. I move csrews to holes along the scale and saw the slots. Now I can make my guitar fretboards fast and precise.
Thanks for watching.
