Genshin Impact TCG Generals Tournament v2.0 Rules

The draft order proceeds as follows:

Where "ban" prohibits both players from selecting a character, and "pick" selects a character for the player's deck while preventing the opponent from choosing it.

For series involving multiple games, the initial two bans apply to the entire series and must be repeated in each subsequent game.

The recommended tool for drafts is https://draft.aspirine.su/, chosen under the "[TCG] Generals Tournament" option. During the Open Qualification, using this app is optional, but it becomes mandatory for Group Stage and Playoff Stage matches.

Players are cautioned to exercise utmost care during drafts, as mistakes cannot be undone, and the system automatically selects random characters if the timer expires.

Group Stage
- The Group Stage is scheduled to commence on April 12, 2025, and conclude by April 25, 2025. These dates may be adjusted due to technical or organizational issues.
- Twenty players participate in the Group Stage: sixteen advancing from the Open Qualification and four receiving direct invitations (section 1.6.1).
- Group Stage participants are randomly divided into two groups—Group A and Group B—each containing ten players. Random assignment occurs live on the Twitch platform or during the Organizer’s broadcast. Announcements and results will be shared on the Discord server and in the Telegram Tournament channel.
- Each participant plays a best-of-two (bo2) match against every other player in their group, resulting in nine matches per player and 45 matches per group. Winning a match awards 2 points, drawing yields 1 point, and losing earns 0 points.
- All Group Stage matches adhere to the draft rules outlined in Appendix 2.
- In the event of an in-game tie (reaching Round 15) with a 0-0 score, the match result will be recorded as a draw. If tied at 1-0, the player who won the first game is declared the overall victor.
- In case of an in-game draw where both players simultaneously deal lethal damage to each other's last characters, the winner of the game will be determined randomly.
- As many Group Stage matches as possible will be streamed and commentated live on the Twitch platform or partner streamers’ channels. Lists of Twitch channels and commentators will be published closer to the event. All streams will feature a 5-minute delay to prevent "stream-sniping" and unauthorized hints.
- Recordings of matches may be uploaded to the Tournament's YouTube channel, the Organizer's channel, or other video hosting sites.
- Matches take place at predetermined times, with players coordinating schedules with opponents. Available time slots will be announced to Group Stage participants once the stage commences. Once agreed, players must communicate the date and time of their match to the organizing team.
- If players cannot meet at the designated time due to personal or technical reasons, the organizing team may permit self-selected scheduling. In such cases, players should record their screens during drafts and matches (or at least the replay) using available tools.
- At the conclusion of the Group Stage, the top four players from each group advance to the upper bracket of the Playoff Stage, the next four enter the lower bracket, and the bottom two are eliminated.
- If multiple players finish with identical standings, their positions relative to one another will be determined by their head-to-head results. If ties persist, a best-of-three (bo3) rematch will be scheduled.
- Rematches, if needed, will take place on April 26 and 27, 2025, unless the Group Stage schedule changes.
