黒羽志寿子の知恵にあふれたキルトグッズを販売しています。

1938年 山口県徳山市(現・周南市)に生まれる。
1957年 2年間の米国メリーランド州ベゼスダ在住中にキルトに出会い38歳にして針を
もつ。
1985年 ニューヨークの日本クラブにて「藍染めキルト展」を開催。
1987年 その藍染キルト展が「 THE QUILT ENGAGEMENT CALENDER」「ダイジェスト 5」に掲載。
1990年 オランダ「フィーリング1990」に作品発表。
1992年 銀座ミキモトホールにて個展 スイスでのキルト展に出品。
1993年 フランスなど海外キルト展に出品。
1993年 インディアナ州立美術館で講師。
1997年 西荻窪に藍染めを中心にした布地と作品のショップ「nuno space 黒羽」をオ
ープン キルト歴40年を迎えますます精力的に活動中

主な著書「黒羽志寿子のパッチワークキルト 藍染めと更紗」（文化出版局）「黒羽志寿子のかんたんミシンパッチワーク」（パッチワーク通信社）「ミシンでかんたん 黒羽志寿子の パッチワークキルト」（日本ヴォーグ社）
など多数 。

帰国後藍染めや更紗など日本の古布を使ったキルトで独自の世界を築く。黒羽キルトサークルを主宰。

自然や、空想から得たイメージを元にして作られた作品群は、独自の世界を築き、日本の布の魅力を世界に紹介する役目も果たす。
ロバート・ジェームス氏所蔵の「絣帳「冬の日本海」は、ネブラスカ大学キルト博物館に寄贈され永久保存されている。

現在は東京、藤沢、札幌、神戸、広島、福岡に教室を持ち、毎年グループ展を開催。1980年から出版された著書は30冊を超え、キルト活動は日本各地およびアメリカ、台湾、ヨーロッパで行われている。

キルト教室のご案内
「ある日のお教室をのぞいてみるととても楽しそうな笑い声が聞こえてきます。みんながそれぞれの作りかけのキルトや時間をかけてやっと完成したキルトをひろげて歓声がわきあがっているのです。 使っている布も違えば、パターンもいろいろ。ベッドカバーもあれば、小さなタペストリーもあってキルトにその人の個性があらわれています。このお教室にはカリキュラムがありません。キルトが初めてという方には最初だけキットをご用意します。もし小さくても作りかけの作品や使いたい布がおありなそこからはじめましょう。先生のお話やアドヴァイスはうんうんととうなずいたり、目からウロコが落ちたりほんとに楽しい！！ キルトが初めてという人にも、もう何年もチクチクしてきた人にもどんな方にも楽しんでいただけるお教室です。キルトに興味があれば、どんな布だってかまわない。藍染めの布やアメリカンコットン捨てるにはしのびないシャツや、思い出の着物でもいいのです。ちょっとした縫い方のコツ、針の持ち方にはじまってパターンの応用、色の合わせ方などなど。知らないでいるより知っていたほうがいいことがたくさんあります。それらの知恵はあなたを豊かにし助けてくれるのです」

"When I look into the classroom one day, I hear a lot of fun laughing. Everyone is cheering as they unfold their own quilts and the quilts that have finally been completed over time. Different fabrics and different patterns. There are bedspreads and small tapestries that show the individuality of the quilt. There is no curriculum in this classroom. For those who are new to quilts, we will prepare a kit only for the first time. If you have a small piece of work or a cloth you want to use, start from there.
