Hollywood has always loved to cast people who are a little older than teenagers to play the high-schoolers of the world. Whether it’s because the material is intense and requires a more grown up actor, or because they don’t want it to be too creepy when things get a little steamy, twenty year old actors have been playing teenagers forever! In Cobra Kai, seventeen year old Samantha is played by twenty four year old actress Mary Mouser, and Robert Pattinson was twenty two when he was cast as the seventeen-but-also-one-hundred-and-four year old Edward!
