E30 Fuel Tank Removal | How To Drop BMW E30 Gas Tank | 008

In this video, I remove the fuel tank from my BMW E30 project car. E30 gas tank removal is a fairly straightforward process, especially as I've already removed the rear beam and rear arms etc.

Removing the gas tank from an E30 involves first dropping the heat shields from above the prop shaft and exhaust, disconnecting the fuel filler neck, unhooking the fuel pump and level sensor underneath the rear seat bench, then unbolting the tank itself and negotiating the tank out from under the car.

With the E30 petrol tank out of the way, I can finally turn my attention to cleaning and rust-busting the underbody of the car and get it restored ready for reassembly.
