Taking a detailed tour on the Drake Cutter and combat test
Hello and thanks for watching and reading(below)!
In today's video, we take an in-depth look at the Drake Cutter, checking out the entire interior, sneaking around the ship, and taking a tour that ends with a test of its combat capabilities.
The Cutter is Drake's newest entry-level ship and features a raw design language.
I really like the elements and all the buttons you can push here. And instead of giving the impression of a sleek and clean looking ship, you literally stare at the best parts of the Cutter.... you can trace where many of its cables and pipes run, open bulkheads and steel rods, screws.... you can feel like an engineer, you always have access to all the important components to quickly fix something here and there.
While I enjoy the overall look and feel of the cutter, I did notice some flaws, the toilet can be opened, but I could not take a seat. The buttons for the lights sometimes had to be pushed three times before they responded, and the bed also threw me out a few times for no reason.
I wonder how and when the fuel port becomes important, located on the left side of the cutter, and I'm not sure refueling would work so well in the atmosphere.
The Mule fit in just fine, but it took me a little effort.
I was curious to see how well combat would work with the Cutter, so I took on some low threat missions and the boarding action around Microtech. Since I only leased the ship from IAE, I didn't change anything about it, nor am I a good fighter pilot....soo see for yourself. Before you ask... I got blown up by an M50 because I couldn't outmaneuver it.
