Hi everyone =)
In this video, I'm showing you a sequencer which plays the music Jazzy note blocks automatically. I just felt like trying building it, recording it and posting it although I don't have many subscribers and videos.
Some people said it is not possible to make the song in real Minecraft, they were right. But in fact, it becomes possible when we use some Minecraft-ic features.
1. How I assigned proper timings to every note
Duration of some note is same as space between that note and the next note. Did you get it?
2. Sixteenth notes?
It says the music's bpm is 200 in the top left corner of Aaron's video. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKC2ykkYWDY) That means the fourth notes in that sheet music have to play 3 redstone ticks. (Calculation: 200 notes per 60 sec -- 200 notes per 600 redstone ticks -- 1 note per 3 redstone ticks)
Someone would wonder like: "You can't divide 3 by 2!". You know what? Each eighth notes don't have a constant length. I don't know why, but they sound exactly 2-1 ticks. I mean, when they fill up one bar, the repeaters get 2-1-2-1-2-1-2-1 tick(s).
Wait, There is one more problem! We need sixteenth notes too, but we can't divide single tick into 2. What should we do now? There is a magic called 'game tick' :)
One single redstone tick is equal to two game ticks. As the eighth notes repeat playing 2-1 ticks, I just allocated sixteenth notes 2-1 'game ticks' with command blocks. (4 sixteenth notes = 6 game ticks = 3 redstone ticks = single fourth note)
3. Flute range?
There is no way to play Minecraft note blocks' octaves higher unless we use mods or something. Nevertheless, we can imitate the higher octaves changing the instrument! I just found an order: flute(clay)-chime(packed ice)-bell(gold block). They sound quite close.
4. About Tremolos/ Finale
It took about several days for this. :/
Using normal ones to tremolos, I found that the finale sounded very horrible. It was too noisy! I had to get rid of them and use command blocks with playsound command instead. Then that part sounded just okay. I couldn't make the finale perfect. Want any info about tremolo notes? Visit here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tremolo
5. 80 BPM
I managed to calculate every note's length. It's AWFUL! Two fourth notes per 15 redstone ticks?

I hope you enjoyed my video. Feel free to modify the program, change the instruments, or change the notes, or everything you want. X)

Have fun!
