U S Presidential Elections , Lecture 1, Part 2

This is the second half of an introductory lecture for a @GeoCurrents YouTube series off the historical geography of U.S. Presidential Elections. This lecture examines how the U.S. is currently divided on geographical-political lines, with reference to historical patterns. Emphasis is placed on the relatively recent metropolitan/rural divide. Many maps at a variety of scales are used to explicate these patterns.
