Aya, an Egyptian PhD student at Lanzhou University, has lived in Lanzhou for four years. Fascinated by the Yellow River, she visits an intangible cultural heritage museum to explore Hezhou eggshell carving. Guided by the craft inheritor Yang Xingguo, she learns about the craft's 2,000-year history and tries her hand at this intricate carving craft. Through these delicate eggshell works, she comes to feel the subtle yet resilient craftsmanship nurtured by the mighty Yellow River.
