Sun Yunsuan, Taiwan’s Economic Mastermind
Again, sorry about the audio. And also my inability to pronounce this guy's name. I keep biting my tongue.
It is easy to miss. But in a rather large house near the Taipei Botanical Garden you can find the former residence of Taiwan premier Sun Yunsuan (or Sun Yunxuan, using pinyin). It has been turned into a museum and recently opened for visitors.
Sun is not that well known to those outside of Taiwan. But his achievements are greatly respected on the little island. An engineer by training, he pushed to upscale Taiwan’s economy to the high-tech powerhouse it is admired for today.
In this video, I want to shed some light on his achievements.
