Tumbling Blocks Quilt Pattern Notes - A traditional Tumbling Blocks quilt involves piecing only diamond shapes and dealing with Y-seams. It's slow piecing, and honestly faster to stitch by hand.

When piecing a Tumbling Blocks Quilt by machine, you can speed up the process by cutting the lightest colored diamonds as triangles. By making this change, you can then piece the diamonds and triangles in vertical rows, which is much faster and easier to piece by machine.
