How CAD/CAM Creates Working Model Before Cutting with CNC Router - Prototype 101 - Start to Finish
Documented in this tag along video is how I use digital tools like Solid Works, VCarve Pro and Mach3 to create parts and assemblies of visual working 3D models, before it gets put on the CNC router to be cut. This technique is very useful by giving the creator a feel for the finished product, using virtual likeness of the assembly, that can be manipulated and tested on the screen. Once all the parts are approved, each parts drawing of the entire assembly are exported into VCarve Pro to create our milling machines tool paths. Finally we cut out all the parts, assemble with nuts and bolt with the satisfying ending of testing out our hard yet smart work.
