France prepared for their Nations League semi-final against Belgium with a training session at Allianz Stadium on Wednesday.
The last meeting between the neighbouring countries came in the semi-finals of the 2018 World Cup in Russia, when France claimed a narrow 1-0 victory on the way to winning the competition.
'Les Bleus' failed to progress beyond the group stage of the inaugural Nations League, but with a potential front three of Kylian Mbappe, Karim Benzema and Antoine Griezmann in Turin, Didier Deschamps' side won't lack firepower.
However, France may feel they have something to prove after a disappointing campaign in Euro 2020, where they went out on penalties to Switzerland in the round of 16
Italy and Spain meet in the first of this year's Nations League semi-finals at the San Siro on Wednesday, with the final also taking place in Milan on Sunday.
