24H Jerusalem - Grief, remembrance and protest for the victims of conflict (14-15 p.m., Episode 9)

Ben is a cab driver. His younger sister died eleven years ago in an attack of a suicide bomber in a café. Everyday on his way to work, Ben drives to her memorial.

UN officer Christoph visits the site where his friend got shot in the face. He tries to reconstruct what happened. He is obliged to be neutral in his reports and describes his job as a diplomatic one, where he can raise concerns about incidents with Israeli authorities. However, sometimes it's frustrating for him that he can only react, but not prevent.

In Shuafat camp, some teenagers who dropped out of school stroll through the narrow alleys and throw stones over the wall surrounding their home on three sides. Another resident shares his anger and grief about the living situation in the cramped camp where even the water supply is limited. Every year, the camp inhabitants remember the Palestinian prisoners. Members of the two Palestinian organisations PLO and Hamas march together.

Rahme's two brothers are in prison, one of them for six life terms for being with the Al-Qassam brigades, the other for nine months without an indictment.

Shlomo is a human rights lawyer who often represents bedouins in Israeli courts. As most of his clients are living in the West Bank and can't come to Jerusalem., he has to drive to them. Everytime he passes the tunnel just before the border of Jerusalem and the checkpoint to the West Bank, he feels like entering another world. The bedouin camps are threatened by new Israeli settlement plans.

24H Jerusalem: A multifaceted insight into Jerusalem's everyday life
The 24-hour TV show tells the story of the city through the eyes of the people who live in it and who are caught up in its contradictions: Jews, Muslims and Christians, Israelis, Palestinians and foreigners, women and men, immigrants and old-timers, believers and atheists, night owls and early risers. 70 film teams accompanied around 90 protagonists with the most diverse life stories at work and in their leisure time, in cramped apartments and spacious villas, in temples, mosques and churches, in Israeli settlements and Palestinian refugee camps.
