360 Birds and Gardens - Winter 2020
Techie stuff:
I was able to get this result at a manageable filesize. Thanks to everyone who helped and advised! :) It's originally filmed at 5k at 200mbps using the new H265 format, or HVEC and the logo on the ground is rendered in about 3.5 hours at 200mbps using the Insta360 Studio. I then used Premier Pro to edit out passing vehicles, slowing down to 70%, and amplifying the audio while maintaining the pitch. It was rendered again using the same H265 codec at 60Mbps. The result is a 2.1Gb file with acceptable quality.
Bird and Garden stuff:
Lots of northern cardinal activity! There's also nuthatches, woodpeckers, blue jays, wrens, white-throated sparrows, dark-eyed juncos, chickadees, tufted titmice, and probably some others. The garden is not all that interesting right now, but I'll take it for it being all perennial. We'll see how it does! After using a 360 camera, I see that I'll be touching up the front of the house. The feeders and perches will be moved closer together for the next video. I'll be sure to wait to shoot video in the afternoon next time so the area is evenly lit and see how it turns out.
