Your Browser Cookies Can Get You Hacked

Many people believe that strong passwords and two-factor authentication are enough to secure their accounts.

But attackers can bypass both using a technique called browser session hijacking.

When you log in to a website, your browser stores a session cookie that keeps you authenticated. This allows you to browse without logging in again.

If malware, a malicious extension, or a compromised device steals that cookie, an attacker can import it into their own browser and instantly access the account — without the password or MFA code.

With a stolen session, attackers may:

✔ Access emails and private messages
✔ View or download sensitive files
✔ Change account settings
✔ Perform actions as the victim

In this video, you’ll learn:

✔ What browser session hijacking is
✔ How hackers steal session cookies
✔ Why MFA doesn’t always stop it
✔ Simple steps to protect your accounts

Always keep your browser and extensions secure.
