"That Old Camera!" (c) - How Good is Your Large Format Lens Purchased off ebay?

How to tell if you have just landed a good buy of a large format lens off ebay.
I enjoy trading information with people who are interested in any old fashion photography equipment, especially Horseman, Toyo, Wista, Mamiya, Pentax, Zeiss Ikon and older version of Leica.

I have personally owned: Mamiya RZ, Pro II, Rolleiflex 2.8 GX, Toyo Field AII, Leica M6, Leica IIIg, Leica IIIf, Zeiss Ikons, Wista D, Wista SP, and a couple of Leica R cameras.

Personal favorite, Linhof Master Techinika, but couldn't afford a new one. So I settled down on a couple of Wista 4x5 field cameras.
