When You’re Too Tired to Be the Dad You Want to Be

There are nights I sit in the driveway…
Engine off.
Lights out.
Just trying to summon the energy to walk through that door.
Because I know what’s waiting on the other side:
• The chaos.
• The needs.
• The tension I didn’t cause but have to hold.
And I feel empty.
Like I’ve got nothing left to give.
But somehow… I walk in anyway.
Not because I feel strong.
But because I know Who is.
This isn’t about being superdad.
It’s about being surrendered.
God meets me in the exhaustion.
And He fills the gaps I can’t.
