4K HDR Realtime Sunset with Ambient Soundtrack. In Technicolor and Cinemascope!

An experimental film combining a realtime sunset with an improvised ambient synth performance. This was shot in my back yard in West Haven, CT on Oct 3rd, 2020.

I shot this with the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K, a vintage 28mm M42 mount lens (crops to 56mm on the MFT sensor) using the SLR Magic 1.33x Anamorphot adapter, over the course of about 55 minutes.

To get the colors this nice, I made a mock three-strip plus key Technicolor process in DaVinci Resolve. It took FOREVER to render. About 24 hours.
