It was 2006, in Upper Merion, Philadelphia. Ellen and Rafael Robb lived here with their 12 year old daughter Olivia Robb. On December 22nd, a phone call would be made to the local police department. This was from Rafael who claimed that he came home from running errands to find his wife murdered. She had been killed to the point of being unrecognizable while she was wrapping Christmas presents. Rafael was questioned, as a spouse is always the person of interest at first. Meanwhile, Ellen's brother showed up at the crime scene without being called. He had plans with Ellen because she was fleeing the state. It turned out Ellen and Rafael had an extremely toxic relationship and Ellen was so close to escaping. Unfortunately, Rafael had killed her before she could do so. Yet, his sentence would be the must frustrating part of this entire case.
