Japan Air Self-Defense Force 航空自衛隊 is the de facto air force in Japan. The Force is respnsible for the defense of Japan's air space. JASDF has been deployed to several missions abroad by the UN, especially in south-east asia. For example they helped out in the search for the missing Malaysian Airlines plane MH370.
JASDF has a personnel of 50,000 and 769 aircrafts.
