Concrete Crack Repair

I had some cracks in concrete driveway. Some of them have filled with dirt and weeds have started growing. The roots from these weeds will cause further damage to concrete over time. Other cracks are allowing water to get under the driveway and this too will cause further damage if I don't address it.
To fix it I gave it a good scrubbing with the wire brush to try and break up any dirt or other material that settled in the crack. Then I used my chisel to knock off any loose concrete and to widen smaller cracks to allow the concrete filler to settle in a little easier. Next I vacumed out the crack to remove the loose material created when brushing and chiseling. Now time to add the crack filler. I basically just let it pour out of the bottle into the crack. It will flow in and settle and then I go back over it and add more to any low spots until the filler is level with the surface of the driveway, or slightly above. Let it sit for 24hrs and then add some more to any low spots that may have formed.
After applying it I can see that it will stop dirt and water from getting in the cracks. The big question is how long it will last baking in 90+ degree heat for half the year or more.

The product is called "Sakrete Concrete Crack Filler".
It's for use on cracks up 1/2" wide and 1/4" deep.
I paid about $12 for a quart of it.
