Is Ghee healthier than Butter?
Yes, but not by much. Choosing ghee over butter is unlikely to significantly impact your overall health.
Ghee and butter have very similar nutritional profiles, with ghee containing higher levels of Vitamin D, and marginally higher levels of Vitamin A.
Ghee is often cited as a great source of Vitamin E and Vitamin K. However, this is greatly exaggerated as both these nutrients are only found in trace amounts: Vitamin E (4% RDA per tbsp.) & Vitamin K (2% RDA per tbsp.)
Ghee when consumed in moderation and incorporated into a balanced diet can have some health benefits. However, many of its benefits are often overstated.
Limit your intake to no more than 1 tbsp per day, and look to other sources of healthy fats like nuts, seeds, eggs and fish to meet your daily nutritional needs.
