Collaboration Project: Steam Boiler Hand Hole Cover

When we started making a new hand hole cover for the Vulcan Iron Works steam locomotive at the Georgia Museum of Agriculture, it quickly turned into a collaborative project between several people. First, Charles Marlin helped out by drawing the part in Solid Works and making a 3D print of the pattern to be used. Next, the pattern was sent to Cattail Foundry to be cast. Once I got it back, I sent it to John Saunders to mill a elliptical step into the casting.
