Mother Rat in Labor

Here my female rat Chub Nugget was in the process of giving birth to 17 rat pups. They were born one at a time over about 1.5 hours, each with their own placenta and umbilical cord, which the mother ate after birth. They're 2.5 days old now and all 17 are alive and well. It looks like they're all going to be black hooded in color/pattern like their father Yinyan. Sorry about the blood, but this is normal for rat birth.
