After the Rain Came the Floods

With so much rain in the Lake District this week I haven't been able to get out to do any landscape photography. When I finally did make it out I was surprised at what I found!

It rained here in the Lake District for 7 days straight. On the 8th day I was keen to get out to see the impact of all that rain for myself.

I made my way to Manesty to the south of Derwent Water to find that the River Derwent had burst its banks. What followed was a great morning of landscape photography.
