Something I do every time I get in the studio before a session...

Is I'll listen to music of a similar genre to what I'm going to master that day.

It means that I'll have a reference point to start mastering.

I know what the kicks sound like, I know what the tops sound like...

Because sometimes when you come in with fresh ears,

Everything sounds good 🤷🏻‍♂️

Spend 20 minutes or so doing this and indulge yourself in the sound you're creating 👨🏻‍💻

And your mixes will sound so much better 👌🏼
