2004 BMW Z4 2.2 litre E85 - Rear bumper off/on and parking sensor fix - well nearly! - Part 2

Today i needed to repair the rear bumper on Z4 as it was missing the 3 wheel arch fittings and could potentially fall off! While doing this I thought i would have a look at parking sensors and see if i could fix these as they have never worked. But i see this is one of the many common problems found on these cars. To be fair, it is nearly 20 years old.
