What is an ETF? An ETF or Exchange Traded Fund is a great way for you to dip your toe into the stock market without taking the risk of investing in an individual company. Instead, an ETF tracks an underlying index giving your investment and portfolio a good level of diversification. While they are not without risk, they are must less susceptible to volatility than individual stocks.

When I started to invest these were the perfect products for me as it meant my return would match the market. On average, this would see my investment grow by 7.1% per year with dividends reinvested according to Schroder.

Then we take a look at the progress of my own portfolio. It's been a strong week for the stock market this week - I hope you're all in the green!
