I can learn how to wash dishes | Quick and easy video tutorial for beginners

Hello my lovelies

As I mentioned on my blog post at www.icanlearnhowto.com , this video tutorial is dedicated to the one day in my life that a sink of dirty dishes taught me some of the most important lessons of my life. It's funny but very true haha.

For now, we will get into the steps and learn how to wash dishes.

You will need:

-A basin
-A plug / stopper
-Dish washing detergent
-A sponge
-A dish cloth to dry and a wet cloth to clean the basin area.
-A dish rack / drying rack
-Hot water
-Rubber gloves (optional but preferable for sensitive skin)

The instructions are as follows:

1. Remove any food particles from the dishes you want to wash before gathering at the basin area.

2. Arrange the dishes.
Group glasses and mugs together, bowls together, plates and so on.

3. Give the basin a quick rinse to ensure that it is not greasy before filling up with water.

4. Put the plug in and add 1 to 2 teaspoons of detergent to the basin depending on the size - less if your basin size is smaller and more if you have a big basin. Too much detergent will make a huge soapy mess so try to avoid using too much.

5. Now fill up the basin with some hot water as this will allow any hardened food particles or oily dishes to be cleaned quite easily.

6. Start filling the basin with the cleanest dishes first and wash. This will allow the water to stay cleaner for longer and will also save water by not having to drain the water and replace it again for the next lot.

7. Wash each dish using the sponge and covering the entire area of the dish with the soapy water until no trace of food or grime remains. Use the scourer on the back of the sponge for any particles that are difficult to remove or allow to soak for a bit and come back a bit later.

8. Rinse dishes with clean water and allow to dry on the dish rack.

Please note that if the water is too oily or dirty, I do suggest that you change it so that your dishes have a nice clean and sparkly finish.

9. Once all the dishes have been washed, use the dry cloth and wipe each dish entirely until no trace of water remains and pack away neatly.

10. Once all the dishes have been dried and packed away, remove the water from the basin.

11. Rinse the plug off and remove any food particles that may have gotten into the drain area to avoid any blockages.

12. Take a small dot of detergent and rinse out the basin.

13. Next take some all purpose detergent and a wet cloth and clean the area around the basin and beneath the dish rack.

14. Hang up the cloths to dry.

You should now have a cupboard full of clean dishes and a lovely clean basin area.

It just feels so great working in a clean kitchen, wouldn't you agree?

Tip : Apply some lotion to hands afterwards to avoid dry skin due to the detergent.
