Land Rover Stage One V8 Test Drive! Ex-NZ Army

I drive a 1984 Land Rover Stage One V8 in Kiwi Army Radio Vehicle spec. I didn't know at the time, but it was on its third trip around the odometer, having covered 160,000kms or 100,000 miles in military service.

The Rover V8 engine sounds well, having been tweaked up a little from the 91-94bhp they were detuned to from the factory. The transmission is early Range Rover, so permanent four-wheel drive and a four-speed all-synchro gearbox.
