"Vincent" - John Rainey - (Don McLean Cover)

As I learned this song, I was singing it one day and realized I didn't really understand what Don McLean was saying. I only knew that he wrote the song about Vincent van Gogh, the painter. So I looked up Vincent on the internet and read about his life so I would know the story that I was telling. The song really got to me anyway, and I think it's beautiful, but after learning about van Gogh's life, it really brought it full circle, and as the song says....now I understand what you tried to say to me. It's a sad but inspirational story, and I can see what inspired Mr. McLean to write about this man. This may be the greatest experience I've ever had covering a song. I hope you all enjoy this cover.
