PuTTY uses a PPK (PuTTY Private Key)
Open Putty. IN the "Session" category, enter your EC2 instance's public IP address or DNS name in the "Host Name" field. IN the "Connection" and "SSH" category, expand "Auth" and browse to the location where you saved your PPK private key file.Go back to the "Session" category, enter a name for your session in the "Saved Sessions" field, and click "Save" to save the configuration. Click "Open" to start the connection.

You should now be connected to your EC2 instance. You can use the command line to configure and manage your server
