Can the Sigma 500mm f5.6 DG DN OS Sport do cricket?

Having had the Sony 200-600 for a number of years the Sigma 500mm f5.6 had a lot to live up to. Would the fixed focal length restrict me paired up with the Sony A7iv....and how would it cope with cricket.....let me know how you're finding the lens.
