An Ongoing Health Crisis: Dying of AIDS in 2017
In 2017 AIDS continues to kill: one million people died of the disease in 2016. The death rate remains shockingly high despite the availability of antiretroviral drugs (ARVs), used by more than 15 million people around the world. This film, shot mostly in Homa Bay, western Kenya, examines the challenges facing people with HIV/AIDS, why so many patients are still dying, and what can be done to help them.
