The European Central Bank has kept its key lending rate steady. That's in line with similar decisions in the US and UK not to boost interest rates. That will mean less worry for many people making mortgage or car payments. ECB president Christine Lagarde dashed hopes the rate could soon come down – saying fighting inflation was still a priority.
