And if you have only one display, then there comes a challenge for you guys and you think of setting up another display for your laptop.

In this video we are going to connect monitor to a laptop with HDMI cable. Before purchasing HDMI cable, check if both Laptop and Monitor has HDMI port. but Nothing to worry as now a days it already comes with HDMI port.

Lets go ahead and connect HDMI cable to a Laptop. This is the laptops HDMI port and I am going to connect HDMI cables one end on this port. Now Connect second end of the HDMI cable to a monitor and check if monitor gets detected by your laptop. But Once you connect HDMI cable to both Laptop and Monitor, your windows 10 will automatically detect second display.

Now, right click on desktop or right click on the windows. go to settings, system and then display.
In the display find Multiple display and you would see four options.

Duplicate Display
Extended Display
Show only 1
Show only 2

Duplicate display will duplicate display on the both screens. And Extended display will show applications firstly on the screen 1 and then you can drag applications from one screen to another according to your requirements.

3 and 4 options are self defined as its given name.

show only 1, will show display only on 1 screen and 2nd setting would show only on 2nd display.
