‘Canada has lost a great friend’: Canada holds memorial service for Prince Philip

During a memorial service for the late Prince Philip on Saturday, Justin Trudeau paid tribute to the royal, speaking about his service and his impact on young people.

“Prince Philip was a man of great service, a man who believed in people and in particular, in young people,” Trudeau said.

“He challenged them to do more, to believe in themselves and to push for a better and brighter future.”

Former governor general David Johnston also honoured Prince Philip in a speech highlighting his service to the Queen and to his country.
