Chinese Coast Guard "Blocks" Philippines Vessel

The Philippine Coast Guard has protested China's effort to obstruct a soldier resupplying operation near a disputed South China Sea atoll. A Chinese warship got within one metre of a Philippine ship, according to reports. The atoll, known in the Philippines as Ayungin and in China as Renai Reef, is home to a limited number of Philippine troops aboard the BRP Sierra Madre. On October 4, the Philippines successfully resupplied their forces.
